My animation project was extremely fun to do. When I started to think of some ideas the first thing that came to mind was the movie Toy Story and the idea of having something that is supposed to be lifeless, come to life. However, I didn't want to do a doll or have a toy as my focus. Instead, I went with origami which is something I've always wanted to learn how to do but never actually took action in learning it. I thought it'd be a good way of making me learn while also completing a project. I decided to have my story be about this origami frog that came to life and began to explore my room until it reached my window and saw this outside world that is impossible to reach. As the sun sets my frog leaves the window and returns to my desk where it unravels and becomes a regular piece of paper again. This is the first time I've ever done an animation before. I always assumed animation would be a difficult process but I think what makes it complicated is getting started and familiarizing yourself with technology if you aren't as familiar with it. For me, this was the exact case. It wasn't hard to actually take the shots and know how I want my animation to look. What became difficult was navigating through my laptop and trying to figure out how to use iMovie on my laptop. I think I even remember sending an email to Laurie out of frustration trying to figure out how to speed/ slow down certain times. Aside from the headache of using iMovie, I really enjoyed this project and am truly planning on using this in future classes. This is something I would picture working with groups as well as individually.
